11/7/2004- Polo Fire Department received a call for a field
fire at 12:27pm. The wind was spreading the fire rapidly to the south and
east. Within a few minutes, Command 5892 requested additional brush trucks
from the Dixon Rural Fire Department and the Mt. Morris Fire Department.
Mt. Morris also responded with an Engine. The Polo Police Department also
assisted at the scene. The field fire was started by hot embers from a
brush pile that was burning not far from the field.
