405 S. Division Avenue

            1/19/2004-  Polo Fire & Ambulance received a call for a house fire with flames and smoke showing.  Asst. Chief T. Karrow assumed incident command assisted by Asst. Chief J. Ports.  Engine Company 5841 arrived on the scene with heavy smoke and flames showing.  Mutual aid received from the Mt. Morris and Milledgeville Fire Departments.  Firefighters battled the blaze for more than 4 hours.  One firefighter was treated at an area hospital for minor smoke inhalation.
